1. Classic retard post about who's an LSU fan. The kiss my ass line was premptive for you a-hole. So you saw it, read it and knew it was for you in advance.
  2. did a little analysis of the stats.

LSU playcalling on 1st downs-14 run, 13 pass.

seems pretty even and unpredictable to me. break down by half and passed more on first down in first half. at least one run was to wr so that definately doesnt count as predictable even though it is a run. besides, several of these were when the running game was on a bit of a roll.

the runs were pretty effective except when carey was in.
  3. I'll have to watch the game again, maybe I was wrong?
Maybe the heat of the battle, that isn't what I thought I saw.
    Fair enough?
  4. The game I saw called was what I expected from both teams. I think the poor execution by both teams receivers made the game such a low scoring fare. I never thought AU would run so well, even if the passing game wasn't so hit and miss. I read where many are complaining about the LSU offense's plan. I felt they kept taking the shots they needed to. The play action had the AU safties out of position several times. With JR being hurt and balls bouncing off hands, be happy that your schemes are working. Execution will come, but not if you withdraw from trying. Sometimes practice happens during the game. You have two games coming up that you can treat as "finishing school". You are getting there, now is not the time to jump off a perfectly good ship.
  5. looking at the playcalling on 1st down another way--

in the 1st half when lsu passed much more on 1st down, 1 of 5 drives were successful (defined by scoring or scoring chance, not holding missed FG against them).

in the 2nd half when lsu ran much more on 1st down, 4 of 7 drives were successful.

obviously there are many more factors (how the D played, what happened on the other downs, and how the oline played) but these stats indicate 1st down playcalling wasnt a problem.
  6. A good and reasonable post. Wanna be a Bengal Tiger fan? :hihi:
  7. Posted this last night in response to the usual bozo posts on another board, claiming we are too run oriented, conservative..and we run, run, pass, punt every time. It's more myth than reality, and like most fans, these guys are just making wild assumptions based on their flawed memory.

So, out of 5 FIRST HALF POSSESSIONS, WE PASSED ON 1st PLAY 4/5 TIMES

    30 first half snaps:
    18 passes
    12 runs
  8. Also I pointed out that out of all of those offensive possessions, where we passed much more than run, we scored zero points. The guy above also came to this conclusion and went further with the 2nd half run/pts production. People seriously need to lay off, because they are ignorant in their rants on the offense. If other teams were as informed as these fans think they are, JF would be without a job and we'd be avging 10pts a game.
  9. Jimbo called a bad game no doubt. We have so much talent and speed at wr and we have a qb who has a gun for an arm. Every now and then we need to just lay one up to benny or the x-man to try to stretch the d. Deep posts, corners, streaks, just throw it deep. Or lets see some more screens to skyler or addai. Im just sick of seeing slants and comeback routes to trackstar receivers. Jimbo has confidence in JR, thats not the problem. He just need sto wake up and see the kind of players that he has. Its just funny to me.
  10. Maybe these receivers aren't all that they are cracked up to be. Speed is probably the least significant attribute a great receiver can have.
