That is what was happening in Tuscaloosa before Nick took the job. He roto-rootered the place of "Bear did it like this" people. Any coach worth his salt would do that or not take the job.
Briles to Texas makes since, Saban to Michigan does not. Although I would like to see Michigan make an amazing hire for their program, being a fan of the Wolverines after LSU.
Here's Mack Browns tenure at Texas 1998 9-3 1999 9-5 2000 9-3 2001 11-2 2002 11-2 2003 10-3 2004 11-1 2005 13-0 National Champs 2006 10-3 2007 10-3 2008 12-1 2009 13-1 BCS championship game appearance 2010 5-7 2011 8-5 2012 9-4 I guess the big question is why would Texas get rid of a coach with this record? Seems like he's earned several bad seasons before he gets canned.
Similar to les he's a program runner not an X's and O's coach. More of a CEO who hires managers. And similarly with the pick of the litter in Texas as we do in LA both should be performing better. Not regressing.
ok.... you got one bad season. Hasn't the guy earned a few before he gets fired? His Texas win % is 77.7. Also one national championship.
