I guess they figured it out. On my way through Montgomery last week I stopped and ate at Shoney's ( Friday ) There was lots of Big A hats and ROLL Tide shirts. All I heard was "roll tide" as they got into town to stay for the game. I waltzed in there with an LSU champs hat and shirt on. One lady said ( behind my back she thought I didn't hear her ) He sure has alot of nerve coming in here wearing that hat. to which her husband replied, as big as he is he probably figures he won't have much trouble with anyone. :rofl: I had to chuckle. SCREW BAMA and OLE MYTH.
I was deep behind enemy lines that whole weekend... flaunting LSU gear everywhere... even the montgomery mall, and the stanhope highschool football game... I got the BEST looks ever... Even this little black kid walked up me and said "LSU! I like yall, but yall are gonna lose! roll tide!" I had to chuckle and point to my national championship shirt I was wearing...
I was there AFTer the game, the day before the Iron Bowl. Great story though, I guess they figured it out later, if not after LSU then surely after Auburn.
I am not saying that Bama will have a better record, but I think that next years team will be more well-rounded. The Oline will be better. Sure we lose Brodie but Wilson will likely compete with Tebow (hopefully) for the starting job. Everyone else comes back on O. The Dline will be fine but the linebackers and safetys will be our weakpoint (maybe). We have some promising young talent but they need to step up and develop into players and leaders. We have games at LSU, at TENN, at FLA....They will be tough. We have talent and looking forward to a good recruiting class this year. Will will be decent and a top 4 SEC team again next year, and will be bowling. That's the steps we need to take. We're not going to be in National Championship contention within a year, but give us 2-3....We're gonna be back. ROLL TIDE!!!
