Saban. He may want to come back home to the SEC He knows just how strong the fans are at Bama ,as we are . WHATEVER IT TAKES is the motto of the Bama fans . Hre (Saba ) followed a good Coach at LSU , and if he goes to Bama now he will be following a good Coach at Bama. Bama Let A GOOD COACH Get away, I am tired of these schools and even us as fans running off good coaches . We may ought to get what we deserve. I think Bama and the Bama fans need to have about 8 or 9 seasons of 2 -10 so they can be gald to have a 8-4 season. Bama went to a Bowl but it is not enough . Wow that is amazing , a winning season is not enough !!

Actually, they finished 6-7, a losing season. In fact, since 1996 every 10 win year has been followed by a losing record at bama.

Scratch Chan Gailey, that was a rumor started by a couple of TI clowns to stir up the board and they succeeded. ;)

I don't know that we have a back up plan if Saban says no. It appears our search committee feels we have a fairly good chance of hiring him after the NFL season. No one is saying anything but the media is doing a pretty good job of making up news. :)

Let me see if I understand this. Saban followed a good coach at LSU, Gerry DiNardo? And you say Saban would follow a good coach at Alabama, Mike Shula? Mike had 2 losing seasons, 1 6-6 season and 1 winning season. Is that what you call good? Please list the coaching awards Shula has won and the job offers he has since he was fired. Excuse us if we expect more than that out of our coaches. I appreciate him getting us through our probation, the 10 win season was great, but the lack of dicipline and his stubborness to change was what cost Mike his job. Not the losses to Auburn, not the loss to MSU, team dicipline and Mike not willing to fire some assistants, the same thing that got Cutcliff fired at Old Miss.

Saying Mike Shula was a good Head Coach is dumb as a rubber ice pick.
