I do double blind tastes all the time. Blantons or angles envy normally win..

fyi although beam is a bourbon ( & never allowed at my bar), Jack is not. Maybe u just don’t care for sour mash Tennessee whiskey. I personally do. But like I said Jack is not bourbon…

That is fair and accurate. It just isn't any good

I am a huge WT fan and some of my favorite bourbons have been RRSiB picks. Just cracked a Kentucky Spirit from Rickhouse M last night and really enjoyed too. That being said I have a single barrel pick of JD that is incredibly complex and nothing like JD Black label. It clocks in about 130 proof which is a bit too high for frequent sipping. But it is a fantastic whisky. Have you tried any JD barrel strength whiskeys? What about Stagg Jr?

Hopefully, for the good of mankind, they quit making it. All I remember was it tasted awful, but I was an idiot teenager and getting drunk was cool. Thankfully, my two children did not follow in their father's DA footsteps and never gave me a problem in their HS years.

I took a co-worker to the LSU - Virginia Tech game in Tiger Stadium in 2007 when we beat the crap out of them 48-7 in 2007. He was a VT grad and apparently a tradition there is to drink Wild Turkey on game day and cheer "gobble gobble" to one another.

It worked out so well for LSU that I incorporated Wild Turkey 101 into my typical LSU game ritual. It rarely doesn't come through for me (in one way or another). I refuse to "gobble gobble", though.
