Alabama writer states that LSU is already a national champion

Wow that's pretty ballsy coming from a Gump! He's got a point though! I don't want to give the gumps the satisfaction of a split title though! I want to see Saban got ballistic on the sidelines when he looses to Les again!

 

They woulda claimed the title even if they won the Sugar bowl this year saying they outplayed LSU and stuff...

 

Predictably, the responses to the piece are skewering the author at about 15:1. Gumps are trying to say that they are so noble that they would be thrilled--as #1-- to go at it twice with LSU.
Why then have most gumps refused to accept their first loss unequivocally, without making all sorts of excuses to mitigate the loss?

You can't have it both ways, gumps!

 

Why do they keep saying it was 6-6 in regular play.. blah blah blah.

You lost. Go home.

 

Between already losing to LSU, their schedule compared to Okie State and Okie State's body of work, there is no way you can justify Alabama getting a shot at the national championship.

But that's where the Bama brand name pays off. They can't compete with Okie State on their records but they beat them at the voter popularity contest.

Congrats Bama, you've earned it...ehh... you've won the popularity contest. Must be proud.

 

Okie State don't know how the game is played. $$$ buys ESPN... They haven't been there before but this will be a good learning experience for em.

 

Also interesting to note is that Miles was one of three coaches to vote Michigan at #8 likely helping significantly in their bid to reach qualifying status for their Sugar Bowl bid.
