Bottom line is that it makes absolutely no sense for this kid to commit until the college football season is over. If, for instance, Vince Young played nearly every down and threw for 2500 yards, ran for 1500 more and Texas won a big BCS bowl game (notice I did not say the Orange Bowl since we all know UT can't beat OU no matter what), then why in the hell would RP commit to Texas, knowing damn well he is not going to start until his 3rd year at Texas. Same thing regarding LSU and Russell. He will not commit until after the season is over, probably after the NC is crowned. Everything that goes on up until then is fodder for the news hungry rumor starting fools out there. Just like this foolish account of a supposed story.
Hmmmm.....I am not the one biting on that story. So I don't think I want to acquire the waterfront property in Arizona that you just bought into.
Obviously Mike S and Bill Bumgarner did not separately make up those quotes. If you would stop and think for a second you would know that. Next the coach would have to be completely psychotic and need immediate admission to a psychiatric ward to make up that story and tell it to 2 different people on the record. That leaves us with an 18 year old kid who has found himself in a firestorm after the story breaks. Sure I want him too but don't be so damn gullible. Hopefully he has come to his senses but he did commit to Texas.
