If WV beats Rutgers, the at large four will be Michigan, Boise State, LSU, and Notre Dame. We will be basically guaranteed to be in. If Rutgers beats WV, LSU, Notre Dame, and Louisville will be the candidates for two available slots. We could get pushed out, but I would think that LSU would get in because we are as good a Louisville in the polls and we travel as well as Notre Dame so we are the only team of the three that gives you both. If the Rose is USC v. Michigan, Louisville could possibly pass us in the BCS and grab the automatic bid for being in the top 4 right. And, Notre Dame could be chosen due to their television ratings and the way they travel. I think LSU is in the BCS even if Rutgers wins, but we are guaranteed to be in if West Virginia wins. As far as which BCS bowl is best, I would rather win another BCS bowl than lose to USC in the Rose Bowl. Beating USC in the Rose Bowl would be great, but they are one of the very few teams in the country that is more talented than us. Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl would be great for me personally. Winning a BCS Bowl and finishing the season #2 in the country would be the best case scenario regardless of the BCS bowl.
But it also gives us a chance for playing them in the Rose Bowl too...payback for 03. The glass can be half full too.
I can't see how anyone would not want the chance to punch USC in the mouth in their backyard (close to it, anyway). Scroo ND. If we end up with that game, fine, but I'd much rather a shot to punk USC. If we lose, we lose, but at least we got it on, on the field. Good enough for me.
