Woodley almost never finished the game. Dolphins would relieve him with Don Strock in the 2nd half. They called them Woodstrock. I knew that Woodley was out of a job as soon as I saw Dan Marino in his first preseason game.
I don’t mean to minimize Woodley or his accomplishments. He was a great Tiger and I loved him as a pro....he was all heart. My point is that Charlie Mac had put the 2 QB system in well before he and Ensminger came to LSU and nothing would change that. It wasn’t favoritism but the system.
