Lets hope Les stays. I'm sick of replacing our coach every few years, but like Red55 says, That's the way it is in college football now. Lets hope that if he leaves, he gives us enough notice so that we can take our time and get the right fit. Not on Christmas Eve after several coaches have already been taken
For the record, I don't think Les Miles will leave for Michigan. For speculation's sake: Jack Del Rio. He's gone after this year in JAX. He has LSU connections. I'd rather LSU hire Jimbo Fisher for HC over Pelini. Pelini is an excellent coordinator but his aversion to recruiting would really be a negative as a HC. And I hope whoever said Hal Mumme was joking.
I think CLM is gone if and when Michigan comes calling. JDR has Louisiana ties from his playing days with the Saints, and I believe his daughter either attends or at one time attended LSU. I'm not sure what kind of recruiter he would be. Rich Rodriguez wouldn't go to Bama because he is a WVU alum, so y'all can quit that speculation (that he would come to LSU) right there. We will continue to go through this until some LSU alum becomes HC.
I don't think Miles would leave for any other university. However, if we had to hire someone else, I want Sean Peyton. There's no need to even discuss this further..Peyton's the obvious choice.
