i look at it this way. if we had a guy who played football for us a few decades ago. he becomes a coach and he always has admiration for LSU and always keeps up with us even though he's coaching in other places. then several years later he finds himself at michigan (or somewhere else) going 22-4 after his 1st two seasons. and after his third he has a chance to leave michigan and come home to us, i would love to have a coach like that take the helm of the tigers.

it's just like that but the roles are reversed. i wouldn't begrudge him if he wants to leave for michigan. i would however, if he left to go anywhere else.

so i think this point is valid given the recent happenings in ann arbor, but all the while i'd rather the conversation take place after the season is over and we're :champs: .

As cool as it was (is) that Appy State pulled the shocker this past Saturday, the real down side to it for the LSU family is the media will start asking the, "Will you leave to go to Michigan?" questions to Les...now.

That sucks, as there is way ,way too much on the line this year to have him and the team deal w/ the distraction that such questions will create. Furthermore, if he categorically denies any interest in leaving LSU, the media won't give him the benefit of the doubt...in part because of people like CNS who, when asked such questions in the past, had no problem lying repeatedly through his teeth.

So, once again, Les is negatively impacted by the slimy POS he replaced.

Now, to the question: I'm a Jack Del Rio man, should Leslie head to Ann Arbor next year.

    I don't think he'll be going anywhere.

Add another vote for Jack D.R. My second would be the ol' ball coach. As to Sean Peyton, why would he leave right after he gets the Saints the Championship this year???

Probably not. 1) coach Pelini while a great coach, is not a good recruiter and does not enjoy and desire to actively get our and recruit. That is not going to work in the SEC. 2) Bo Pelini hates doing all the appearances, glad handing, and social stuff that head coaches have to do. That is not going to work at a program like LSU where there are alot of outside demands on your time. 3) Skip B. already has a stated policy of bringing in a proven head coach. He has done it with every head coach hiring in recent years. I do not see him changing this time around.

I hope like heck CLM does not leave. I don't know that he is the greatest coach around but he is a very good fit for our program and I like him right where he is. He is a obviously solid recruiter, has a good eye for coaching talent, does well with the alumni and media, and seems to be a genuinely good man who wants to treat people decently. The last is pretty rare!

    STAY HERE CLM!
