If you had a second or third team than Redden should make that list. He was a great player, never will forget the 86 team that went on that run to the final four.

these teams would stink because not enough balls to go around. i guess they'd improve over the course of the season but it seems some fans dont like that.

how about a good lineup---not the best players, but the best team.

    shaq
    stro
    livingston
    griggs
    maravich

i only went with guys ive seen play--ok, except for maravich. this would be a great defensive team, more important than O i think. griggs is the best lsu defender ive ever seen. randy, stro and griggs dont need to shoot much. like to have CTIII or blanton off the bench.

I don't think any of these teams would stink.

ok, "stink" was a bit strong, but the best team isnt a collection of the best players.

Singleton was a starter for most of his career. I was always impressed with his intangibles... hustle, desire, etc. When I think of what I as a coach would want in a "classic" 6th man he comes to my mind, followed CLOSELY by Ricky Blanton although you couldn't go wrong with any of the Tigers mentioned.

I stand corrected. Nikita Wilson took off after the ball, but made no effort ot touch it, letting it go out of bounds. Wilson was running to the LSU beench to celebrate! The game was on 2/2/85, we lost 58-59.

I don't see how you guys can have Randy Livingston on this list when he never did much of anything at LSU.

In my opinion Ronnie Henderson was a much better player.

I know if Randy would have never had knee problems he could have been amazing. But, he had to many injuries.

So, again here is my team.

    PG - Chris Jackson
    SG - Pete Mavarich
    SF - Stromile Swift
    PF - Rudy Macklin
    Center- Shaq O'Neal

Would love to have Brandon Bass, Ricky Blanton, Ronald Dupree, Ronnie Henderson, and Toriss Bright come off the bench.

The first time I saw Greg Cook up close was in Blimpie's after a basketball game his freshman year. I though he was going to kill everyone in sight. He played that way, too.

He has to come off the bench on this team.

Same team as me but I have John Williams instead of Swift. Williams was a man amongst boys.
