Not a surprise. Joe painted himself in a corner. I learned a lot reading the linked article about what Joe did for LSU off the playing fields. Raised a hell of a lot of money and instituted some programs that benefited our student athletes and LSU. Thanks for your service Joe. Now go out and twist some arms and raise some more money.

I dunno, man. He monopolized tailgating and priced the average fan right out of the stadium to get some war bucks. Can't personally say, but if you listen to the feedback from the fans over the last few years, the game day experience took a turn for the worse. Not saying he is entirely the devil, but he is definitely not a local whose investments balanced over the population as a whole. JMO

He’s an idiot. Alleva, that is.

Raising money is not hard. Kids do it playing drums on 5 gallon buckets on Bourbon.

I haven't been to a game in Tiger Stadium since 2007. I can only make judgements based on what I see on TV and what I read. What I read tells me that LSU is one of the top 10 athletic programs year after year. Not too shabby in my mind. I wonder how LSU's football ticket prices rank in the SEC? I would imagine there are a couple of teams ahead of us.

That was the year of the last game I attended also. LSU is not 10 because of him.

Alleva simply benefitted from the sec network deal. He and fking are way down on donations. TAF does most everything and on their own dime.

Let the Lipsey Express continue. That idiot who signs his name KING is next.

I do not like ja remaining in any capacity however.

Athletic Directors are like mayors. Every move they make pisses someone off. With that said , I’m glad he’s gone.
