He needs more time to recoop from his injury. He is not not 100% and the last thing we need is to put him in before he is ready, risking another injury.
I'd much rather he get hit by the ULL defense in his first real live action than Zona's or AU's. If he is physically ok, then give him a few carries in the first half, a few more in the second.
I voted yes. Limited carries, 4 or 5 the first half. 1 series at the most. Bring him back slow. See how it goes against ULL, if ok, more against Zona. Against Auburn, Alley may not play. Against Auburn, the people who have demonstrated they are the best performing backs in practice and in the previous two games will get the carries, IMO.
Depends on the weather. If the field is wet, no way. Otherwise, I think he'll get a few carries. But I fear that we will not see the old Alley at all this season.
I say yeah....i think he will be in on a few carries....with the addrenaline pumping on his first action i would love to see him go from 85% to 100%
He will get a few carries, maybe even as much as 8 or so. Same against Arizona and maybe less against Auburn if any. Of course the number of carries against Auburn strictly depends on how he performs in the 1st 2 games and how the knee feels. I would rather him not play against Auburn and work him in slow in the 1st 2 games and the next 2 games after Auburn. We have enough depth for now to work him in slowly, no need to take huge risks with Alley.
I think you put him in there for a couple of pass plays for him to just block. Just so he can get a feel for the speed and timing of acutally play. I would hate to see him go down to some cheap ass shot by a pissed off USL player
