THE DON HAS SPOKEN! "The Alley Broussard situation is like a revolving door. Earlier I reported accurate information stating that Brioussard had quit the LSU football team because of a lack of playing time, but I am now hearing from the same sources that Broussard has returned to practice today after being encouraged to do so by several key LSU figures. Stay tuned."
i think tirk is projecting his own fantasies externally.... recall who was keeping us all up to date on the barbaro situation... http://www.tigerforums.com/showthread.php?t=42302&highlight=barbaro ... just saying
Well, I'm not surprised that he quit--I mean, I am and I'm not all at once. Remember during the summer, during his rehab, he was reportedly upset about the rehab and many reports were made that it was mentally, a tough time for him to deal with and he wanted to quit. Well, now that he has, I'm not sure that his heart (or head for that matter) was truely "into it" following his injury. Here was a player, dominant as a runner. Top-flight athlete. Never had to face the adversity that comes with recovering from an injury--had never been injured. Now, he had to rehab from a serious knee injury and had to deal with the whole, "learning to run" all over again and go through physical limitations. He wasn't as conditioned as the coaches would have liked. Hell, it was obvious by most of us, that he wasn't conditioned in the way that we would have liked either. Not only did he look bigger (fat), his running showed it as well. I don't doubt that he had "a problem with one of the coaches" that led him to quit the team. But I wouldn't be shocked to find out that it was one of the coaches trying to motivate him by getting on him about his weight.
