Good thing I didn't watch the Rose Bowl. If the Rose Bowl selection committee is so short-sighted as to not give a good matchup, then I don't see why I should watch the game.

I am not sure! I remember somebody here talking about it. Maybe it is an SEC rule and not an NCAA one! Somebody should be able to clear it up but you are right I remember the Doucet thing also. Or maybe he got some sort of special permission as Doucet probably should have.

Sheezum. UGA scores two TDs and the First Quarter is not yet over.

Does ANYBODY have ANY idea how Hawaii has ANY chance of winning this game.

This game is over in the FIRST QUARTER.

    JEEBUS.

WAY TO GO, ROSE AND SUGAR BOWL SELECTION COMMITTEES. NEXT TIME, LET A CHIMPANZEE MAKE THE BOWL SELECTIONS . . . WE'D HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF A GOOD MATCHUP.

Another BCS blowout...We need a playoff...These games are garbage with their only purpose to make some people richer, while student athletes have to spend their christmas vacation away from their families, make no money from it and run the chance of getting hurt during an exhibition game...I don't know if anybody else has noticed, but there have been a lot of players getting hurt this year.

You can thank the crybaby (Scott Coward) at Tulane for changing the system. I don't recall his exact argument but I believe it was something like..."We have no fans and can't support our team, so the bowls should be forced to select us so we can get in on the action."

Coward believes in a redistribution of wealth just like Hillary and Obama.

Hopefully the SEC will finish 7-2 this bowl season.

hey can we, uh, not bring politics into a sports discussion? it's just mildly annoying...

anywho, the BCS was a great idea that was just poor in practice. it's nice to have a better sense of who is the national champion, but at the expense it's at is just ridiculous.

however, I DO firmly believe the BCS ratings system would be excellent in choosing playoff teams.

I don't mind this as much as the Rose Bowl. Hawaii's #10 BCS, give them a shot. Let them prove they deserved all the accolades of the only undefeated team left. Looks like there won't be any undefeated teams in a couple of hours, though.
