Alma Mater Typo?

Did anyone else notice that the marquee in the stadium said "All praise to thee..." instead of "all hail to thee..."? I looked it up and couldn't find anything about it being changed.

 

i never look at it, so i didnt notice. i am one of those people that has the alma mater memorized. and i always thought it was "all hail to thee".

 

In the LSU choir, we always sang it as "praise".

 

It's always been "hail" on the marquee from what I remember.

 

i dunno, I couldnt see that far from the tiger den suites. I think my vision was blurry.

 

It had nothing to do with the adult beverages in those suits I'm sure.

 

but despite my shameless post, i was reading some of it and didnt notice.

 

The correct words are "All Praise" It has been wrong on the scoreboard since 2005 when they started putting it up there and playing 2 verses in pregame.

 

Oh. I just checked and my graduation program says "praise". The L Book says "praise". LSUsports.net has it wrong too. How could they mess that up?

 

thats where i saw it. i couldnt remember from my time at the ole war skule and had to look it up. i guess using lsusports.net as my source was a mistake.

damn, wrong all these years thanks to them.
