I can find it around the area, but they limit you to 2 boxes a day per customer, and it ain't cheap. Atleast compared to what I used to get it for. Nobody wants the select, so there's a ton of it still available at Academy here.

Academy where I live makes you wait at the crack of dawn for newly opened ammo. I don't shop there anymore. Pawn shops and gunny's are pretty much who I stick to. My dad molds his own, but the price of black powder has risen also.

I have 3 boxes of .22 long rifles that I have had for a long time. Its just that I haven't shot my 22 lately. I do have 1000 rounds of 7.62 and 400 rounds of 40 caliber. I only have one box of the 40 hollow points (too expensive for recreational shooting) and 1 box of .38 special hollow points.

Yessir. Target practice can eat you up quick. Went through $150 worth of .308 sighting in one I built and a bolt action my dad gave me, and the 1911 colt. Three boxes of .45 down in less than 10 minutes easy. Could've kicked my own ass.

GUNBOT shows LOTS of .22, starting at 11 cents per. I have a couple thousand rounds, but never shoot nor shop for it.

I expect that price is higher than it used to be, but don't know.

In my experience, especially with .22s, when you buy one you can generally pry a brick out of the gun shop's hands at a pretty reasonable price.

When I was in high school dad would get buckets of .22 on the cheap. We hunted squirrels and rabbits with them and went through rounds like water. Now the market is tighter than fish vagina. Thanks obama! Lol

Well like the boat shop guy said, when two yahoos brought an utterly destroyed prop in, and then whined about the replacement costs, "Boys, I'll tell you, if you want to play, you gonna have to pay."
