Amp entered LSU in the Fall of 2003. As I recall, he was tearing it up in practice and was widely reported to be ahead of Bowe and Davis on the depth chart before he tore up his knee. It took him a long time to physically recover (if he ever did), but apparently his mental game never came back. When he was physically able to play again, he thought he was better than Bowe, Davis, and Doucet and thought he was being unfairly kept low on the depth chart. He went to USF and didn't exactly thrive there. Now I guess he's looking at a D1-AA school somewhere.

Shame. Probably the physical injury took its toll on his mind and his attitude and he just couldn't get himself back.

Another USF RB, Mike Ford, was arrested in Tampa over the weekend for driving an unregistered vehicle, no driver's license, and contempt. Ford commited to bama but never played before transferring to USF.

I knew he had committed to Bama, but I didn't realize he ever stepped foot on campus. I thought he simply enrolled at USF.

Let's hope a certain Mike Ford from Louisiana doesn't follow his example.

I'm not sure exactly what Ford did except commit to bama. I can't say for sure he ever enrolled in school but I thought he did. Maybe Terry can tell us.
    it really doesn't matter.

This is the same Mike Ford from Hargrave Miltary Academy that Keiland came from. Ford was an 5* and commited to Bama IMO looked like a good back was very glad to seem him leave the SEC and go to SF but didnt want to see this incident happen though.

I read this morning that Ford signed with bama but never qualified.

Boy, talk about someone's fortunes taking a nose dive. He was one of the most highly recruited WR in the country when he committed to LSU. Funny how things work out.

    Re: What's up with this?

Ohh yeah.. I forgot that was his team... dunno, haven't heard anything about him this year.

Wait... wasn't last year the last year he could play?
