don't get too concerned about hosting a super regional. I just checked the usl delphi boards and the consensus there is they will be hosting the super regional against N.W. st. Demons.
What a money maker that would be! 1500 fans! :)

That is very tough for Tulane. They have ULL and Alabama in their regional.... does UA still have the #1 ERA in the SEC? We have a good shot at taking the SR home to the Box if Alabama or ULL defeats Tulane.

So LSU will be playing Southern in the Super Regional? Cool!

Sure beats playing against Ole PIss as I thought it would end up.

we got a much better Regional than Tulane. I would be pissed if I was a greenie. We have a real good shot to advance. Hopefully if Tulane gets knocked out we will host the SR.

I'm feeling confident. I have my tickets ordered from Rosenblatt, and hotel reservations in Lincoln, NE, which is approx 40 miles from Omaha. That was the closest I could get hotel reservations.

Man I really don't want to be the negative one here, but a lot of you seem a little TOO hopeful. Don't get me wrong, I want LSU to beat the living **** out of every team it faces from here on out. But, we already beat NSU, and already beat Rice... it'll be tough to sweep both of those teams the way we've been playing. I really do like the fact they didnt shove ULL with us--I'M ECSTATIC over that! Rice, is the team that worries me, though. This regional is very winable, but that's where the trouble starts... We can't beat Tulame. We DEFINATELY can't beat them 2/3. Call me a fair-weather, or Tulane fan, or what have you, but I really do NOT think this team is capable of winning 2/3 against the best team in the country... Will Tulane choke? GOD I hope so... LSU is capable (like they have been all year) of being the best team in the country. I want to believe that they will magically flip that "Dynasty Switch," and the REAL LSU Tigers will show up... but, I've been waiting for that to happen allllllll season. ALL I have to say is GEAUX TIGERS, and ROLLLLLLLL TIDE. Actually... ROLL *any team but Tulane*

Why not? I've read your baseball posts over tiem and they are some of the most level-headed posts on the forum. Do you really feel that strongly? LSU finished the season strong as far as series go, winning several SEC series in a row to close the regular season.

I feel very confident against Tulame with Dirks and/or Smith picthing. Beyond that, I just don't know. One things for sure though, I know they have not seen our best, pitching-wise, during the season and we hung right in there.
