Using the old cliche', "We've just got to take it one game at a time". We don't have a real difficult regional--It's not as bad as I was expecting to get. I mean, don't get me wrong, the other 3 teams are in a regional for a reason. They're quality teams there. But our victory over Rice earlier in the year does give me some confidence in our abilities to compete well in our regional, and advance, presumably against Tulane. We're 0-2 vs Tulane this year and I believe we're due for a couple of "W's" vs the Wave. Since 2003, we're 4-5 vs the Wave (2-2 in '03, 2-1 in '04) and in that stretch we've outscored them 55-42. Call me crazy, call me foolish. But I kinda want to play Tulane in a Super Regional--even if it means traveling to New Orleans to do it. If you want to be atop the mountain at the end of the season, you're gonna have to play, and beat the best in the country. Right now, the NCAA has tabbed Tulane as the best. So that's why I want to play them--and show everyone that they were wrong. :geauxtige :tigbas:
