Man.... All this Mythical crap burns me up... We have a system now, the BCS, Whether you like it or not, it is the system in place. They have a formula they follow to put the top 2 teams based off of the formula in the BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.... At the beginning of the season, everyone follows it.... If you don't make it to the BCS Championship Game and win it, bringing home the Crystal Trophy, Then YOU ARE NOT THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!!!! Do you understand that USC in 2003 or Auburn in 2004..... To win it you have to get in the big game through the formula... no matter what your record is..... USC and Auburn need to wake up out of this pretend fantasy dream and just accept their so-called Championship seasons for what they are..... """Not a Championship Season"""... Case Closed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This baby crying because they didn't get into the BIG GAME drives me and a lot of other people nuts........ The BCS is not perfect. Well the BCS is slowly eating itself. Anyone worth salt are shying away from being involved in it. I look for the controversy to be even greater this season. I for one long for a playoff...one game, one champ.
I feel the same way... I think Playoffs are the best answer.. But you can't satisfy everyone.. You will run into the problem as far as how the playoff teams are chosen.. I'm not sure how it is handled in Div. 2 .. But the playoff system seems to work well there.... I guess something like every Conference Champion and Conference Runner-up..... I don't know... Changes do need to be made... But that still doesn't take away what the system is now and has been,,,.. Every year there is only 1 Champion from 1 Championship Game....
