Well in a way yes. ESPN has all the other SEC rights and dictate the times of games. We haven't had that much of an impact yet but the SEC in general has had more games in the day now than before with the new deal.

CBS used to have 2 night games a year.

But the ESPN contract gives CBS 1st pick each week.

So in other words, LSU's success is really to blame for our lack of home in conference night games? Catch 22. If we were mediocre we would get the night ESPN games. Being that we are a power year in and year out, we are chosen first often and in big match ups.

Actually if he started to suck we likely wouldn't get many ESPN night games either. Now they have those noon slots and other afternoon slots on ESPN, ESPNU, ESPN Classic, etc...

So yes our success and the contract stipulations of the ESPN contract are the culprit.
