It could happen. I don't see Oregon and Kansas State both falling below the Gators this week, but with a UF win over FSU? I have my doubts UF gets past FSU based on how the Gators have looked the last few weeks. Then again, who knows what FSU teams shows up. It's getting to be crazy. We very well could see Stanford and UCLA play twice in a matter of a couple of weeks. There's a good chance UofSC will play Clemson to end the season, and then turn right around and face them in the Chick-Fil-A bowl as well. Look at the Big12 standings when you get a chance. A Kansas State loss to TX puts a three way tie in place with that boiling down to the fourth step in their tie-breaking rules.
1. FSU beats Florida 2. Alabama beats Georgia 3. Oregon loses to Oregon State or UCLA (potentially should Stanford lose to UCLA next week) 4. Notre Dame loses to a Barkley-less unranked USC LSU gets a rematch with Bama in the national title game Final BCS rankings: 1. Alabama 2. LSU 3. Notre Dame 4. FSU 5. Kansas State
If KSU loses to Texas, assuming OU wins out, they are conf champs. They have 2 loses, 1 is to ND. Texas has been beaten by WVU and OU.
Dude......I admire your faith, but I do not think the so called "voters" will EVER allow another two SEC team NCS game....especially LSU/BAMA. Both from the western division? I think they will refuse to drop ND beyond #2. The Fla. game kills LSU.
Not so fast. No one thinks ND is the best team in the country, people just need a reason to drop them. Expect ND to drop like a rock with a loss.
This is true. ND would plummet with a single loss. The same thing essentially happened to KSU and Oregon, as well. Even as much as the media has been hating on the SEC this year; just like last year, no other conference is stepping up with a viable candidate to even play an SEC team for a championship.
I don't know what would happen in this scenario. I think the human voters would put FSU in front of LSU if they beat Florida.
