You can get the game on lsusports.net. I explained how on another thread. Rite Aid drug stores sell prepaid MasterCards with a value of from $25 to $500. There is a $9 fee no matter what amount of value you put on the card so if you buy an MC with $25 on it it will cost you $32. You have to activate the card by calling a tollfree number. When you get though to the person who answers to activate your card they will ask you a few questions. Give your address as a real address in Louisiana. Make sure its a friend or relative's address because thats where they will mail your card. You can use the card online even before you receive the actual piece of plastic because the activation person will give you the card # and expiration date as well as the 3 didit security code on the back of the card.

You now have a MasterCard with a Louisiana billing address that won't be rejected by lsusports.net for being out of state.

    Order the game. Enjoy.

Has anyone ever done this in the past? Is the quality good? If I output my signal form computer to big screen tv, will it look good? :)

Are you sure they don't filter by IP origination?

Not sure but I wouldn't think they would be so paranoid about that kind of security to do it. Their billing system would most likely be set up only to reject credit cards with billing addresses from states other than Louisiana and Arkansas. Its definately something I would try if I lived in another state.

If anybody uses this method of watching the LSU-ASU game on lsusports.net please post your results here.

    a couple things:

    1. i tried to trick mlb.com and watch local baseball games that are blacked on my new jersey comcast by registering with a credit card that goes to my parents email address. it didnt work. it is very possible they could region id from my ip address which they can tell is jersyc01.nj.comcast.net . so it is very possible you cant trick them from out of state with a credit card.

    2. i use bittorrent and i would be happy to spread the game around with it or whatever, but i am not sure if i could save the game, because i think it is only available as a stream and i dont know how to capture streams. and even if i did, you couldnt have the copy of the game until it was over, obviously.

    3. the games i actually have watched streamed live from major league baseball were actually of reasonable quality, so i would suspect that the lsu game would be very watchable if you have cable internet.

I actually also use Suprnova.org quite frequently and most eveything i get from there is very good quality. What I normally do is run an Svideo cable from my computer to the big TV ( and it is big ) and you can barely tell the difference.

My roommate used to have a Dazzle where you could get video from a VCR and save it in digital format to your hard drive...it broke though.

i use bittorrent to get all the episodes of the sopranos and burn them to dvd and they are good quality.

also i just bought this little device from japan or somewhere that i can attach to my gameboy SP and watch movies and tv from a compact flash card. so i can watch the simpsons episodes i steal with bittorrent on my gameboy. technology and gadgets are fun.

If they are blacklisting ips you should still be able to get around that by accessing their site through a proxy.
