Thanks for the info. Sounds like i might just be better to take an old tower i have and get a good video card installed with an S video outlet. Hmm Then i will need a good sound card as well as a wireless modem...
Bo, I'm a mac guy so the way I do it may not work for you. I connect video by S-video cable--for a while I had a S-video-to RCA video cable. For audio, I use a headphone jack to A/V cable which plugs into the computer (you can get this at radioshack for 5$)--you dont need to use the computer speakers. You have to change the TV/video setting on your TV and on my mac I go to displays in system prefs and click "mirror" which makes the tv screen just like the computer monitor. There are probably better ways to do this (probably involving expensive Monster cables) but this works great for me. I havent tried connecting through USB, but I bet its too slow, you'd probably need Firewire.
ok, no s video, then i'd try using RCA to RCA cable to connect video from computer using yellow jack to video on back of tv.
Gum, No way. That is way to easy I will test it and get back to you. SKB :usaflagwa :laflagwav :lsug:
I hooked the s video out from my computer to the TV (demo-Victory for LSU) and the picture was very good. Ran it to the TIVO, ditto. I plan to use the local credit card number approach and hope for the best. They said that the sec prevents them from showing the games out of state-- They probably didn't specify elaborate ip blacklisting requirements. Although, upon reading the fine print: Subscription activation and pay-per-view access may be subject to approval of your valid major credit card and verification of other information that you submit or is otherwise obtained by Fancast Properties, LLC (e.g., your IP address or ZIP code). They may well check the IP address. IS THERE A PROXY IN LA THAT WE OUTSIDERS CAN USE?
