Maybe I have been dreaming, but according to the Knoxville News-Sentinel and UT, the LSU game is a 7:30pm (eastern) kick-off. They said it was set about two weeks ago. ESPN has the coverage.
This game will be at night. Epsn contractually gets to choose a couple games/year ahead of CBS. CBS is already showing the UT/UF game the week before & will likely show Bama/UT & UGA/UT. CBS tries to share the wealth so to speak and will not saturate their national TV audience with the same teams every week.
i think thats true cuz buddy spongey hinted about it a couple days ago saying its in the works. unless i dreamt it.
Apparently CBS is not considering LSU/Tennessee. LSU lobbies hard not to play day games in September because of the heat. ESPN will get a shot a a night game from Tiger Stadium featuring two top-10 teams that I hope thay cannot pass up. CBS has us for three other games.
man, they are sure creamin over bama. they pull those legacy teams get with the media always ticks me off.
I saw an interview the other night on CSS where Urban Meyer is already hedging about this year. He made a comment that his approach will take some time to develop at Florida. Doesn't sound like the media version where 58,000 fans traveled to the swamp to watch the Gator Spring Game and pronounced Urban's arrival as an immediate NC run. Bottom line: The LSU - Tennessee game is the best matchup of the day. It should get the air time. But NBC might object to having a Notre Dame opponent lose before ND gets a chance to play Tennessee. :thumb:
