1. Kick returns: We are averaging a measley 13 yards. (SEC bottom half) 2. Penalties: We are making too many penalties. (SEC bottom half) 3. Turnovers: We can't turn it over versus Auburn.
UA's weakness is their secondary. If tigers can run the ball just a little to keep auburn honest. LSU will win. Coach miles should watch out for CTT trick plays. Auburn may catch LSU sleeping a little and take 1 to the house. also, LSU d-backs can not play as aggressive in the past 2 games. This is a big step up in comp. I know Tiger "D" took 2 all the way. but, A stop and go! could be costly. LSU 31 Aub. 24
Of course there are concerns playing Auburn! Are we going to beat them so bad it affects the team's ability to win later games, there by reducing our strength of schedule? Can we get Perrilloux, our 3rd string QB, in for atleast 3 drives? Will their LB's be seriously injured by Broussard, causing a delay in the game while waiting for the paramedics? These are the real concerns of this game!
GREAT REPLY! Ya got me laughing, and I needed it today, got ripped off at the car repair place and I was rather aggitated.
My biggest concern is the running game. If we can't move on the ground, Auburn can come looking for JR. JV has not been productive, Alley has, but he hasn't been in the game for very long. Hester and Scott have been good. O-line is untested in big games. All the questions will be answered on Sat. It should be a dandy! :geauxtige
No offense, but that's really what a blitz is designed to do. If you could blitz and still cover everyone on every play, it would be the base defense for every team in the world. I'm looking to see if our front 4 can get pressure on Cox with his new look OL, if they can, we will hurt them on defense - without need for the blitz.
My biggest concern is not turnovers or getting the running game going. My biggest fear is a drive-killing , momentum-busting penalties. If we stay away from those, I think we'll jump on Auburn fairly quick and hopefully end it before they know what hit them.
