I think Blue & Hill have very similar running styles, although Hill is a bit more powerful between the tackles. They are both 6'2" tailbacks, which you don't see often, and they both have breakaway speed. Ware & Hilliard aren't quite as quick, but both are great blockers, very powerful, and are good pass-catchers. Ford also has good hands, and is more of an outside runner than the rest of the guys (as bama well knows).
I would need to see how he bounces back from his injury before I took a chance on him, if I were an NFL manager. He'll be here next year.
Hill is 6' 2" 235, and blue is 6'2" 220, hill is more physical, but blue is a better pass catcher and a little quicker. You look at these stable of backs and it's sick the kind of talent a projected 5th string tailback has. If LSU can keep all these back happy, when you throw all 5 into the mix, it's a great running game comming at you all game with fresh legs!! I don't know that I have ever seen that type of a stable of backs that goes 5 deep.
I like Hilliard the best of em all. I suspect something is wrong in his world in 2012. How, why or what got it there or what it is I have not read, heard or suspect. I know the young man is NFL material when playing his best.
I have heard no talk of Blue going pro early. He was set to be the feature back this season and his career would probably benefit from another year.
Ware seems the most NFL-ready of LSU's backs to me. I could also see Ford leaving early, just because it wouldn't surprise me if he's a little tired of going up and down in the rotation. He seems to keep backing into The Hat's doghouse, but it usually doesn't show when he gets on the field.
Ford is emerging as a helluva kickoff return specialist...although they're talking about eliminating the kickoff in the NFL.
