West St. John High running back who amassed 3013 yards this past season (11.3 ypc) with an additional 314 yards receiving as well. He's only rated 3 stars, but these stats are astounding.
I saw him on TV once and was pretty impressed, and I know he had a big game in the Dome. It sounds like we might offer him from what I've seen. If we do I'm sure it will be on his visit so we'll find out soon.
Mike Scarborogh was on the Buddy Songy show today and if I remember correctly he said that Patrick Jackson was coming in for a visit on the last weekend.
Point taken… but there is a reason Carey has not touched the ball as much. Priest 5’ 9” 213lbs Smith 5’10” 216lbs Carey 5’6” 206lbs Vincent 5’10” 213lbs PJ 5’9” 185lbs Maybe he grows a couple inches after high school, maybe his high school measurements are slightly inflated and he grows into them. 185lbs is light but Moffitt will put weight on him. There is certainly a role for him on a powerhouse football team if he can run like the wind, but I think running backs in the SEC are bigger and stronger (typically). I am not passing judgment on his talent just his size. I have never seen him play, but I read he is a great kid and a 4.0 student.
Priest Holmes couldn't have been a pound over 175 at UT, then must have gotten hooked up with either the cream, the clear, and/or the weightroom. If this kid is THAT smart and a decent back, maybe he can play at Vandy! No, nevermind, I wouldn't wish that upon anyone.
