Re: Anybody here Muffberger? Brent Muffberger proved once again last night why he is an idiot. I can't believe him and Herpie are commentating the game next week. They're gonna be sucking VT's @#$#@ all game long. Im sure BM will still be kissing the Wac-10's A$$ too. As stated earlier, the W-10 has 2 good teams and the rest are creampuffs. The league still has no defense, all offense. Herpie thinks the W-10 is closing the gap on the SEC. Complete morons. I wish I would have chosen a career in broadcasting. I could easily sound that stupid on TV. If I would've have known that ESPN would hire any dumba$$ off the street, that's the career I would be in. PLEASE LORD, let LSU play USC for the NC!!!!
Re: Anybody here Muffberger? Check the stats. The garbage time TD from Idaho was at the end of the game set by an interception from our backup QB and against our 2nd and 3rd string D. And we lost our strongside linebacker early in the game. Was it the best show by our D? Not even close. It's still a little early to be making any declarations of best/worst IMO.
Re: Anybody here Muffberger? I am not the one making the cliams. The sports media is saying they are the best team in college football and their defense is loaded with all americans. I am just going by the stats. They played a very week team and I expected a whole lot more. Doesn't matter what time they gave up the td they were playing Idaho for christ sakes. It should have been 70-0.
Re: Anybody here Muffberger? The final score in the USC-Idaho game is irrelevant. If they make it to the MNC at the end of the year, it will be because they got better, not worse, as the year progressed. If USC played Idaho at the end of the year instead of at the beginning, the score may very well be 70-0.
Re: Anybody here Muffberger? Yet, this morning on Sportscenter, the announcers proclaimed it a really dominant start to their season. I don't think so. Of course they will get better; we will, too. The first game is for getting the kinks out. But we were pretty much derided for winning 45-0, and it was not called domination. Plus, I think Mississippi State could probably give Idaho a game. Neither of us was playing good opponents.
If the SEC played a round robin, the only team that finished above .500 would be crowned the champ...
Better be prepared to use the mute button Saturday night. Our boy Brent & Herbie are calling the game Saturday night.
Re: Anybody here Muffberger? I agree with this. As I said on a previous thread, I don't think I have ever seen commentators sitting around talking about how USC should have played much better...more yards...bigger plays, etc, or who will definitely beat them. USC racks up 38 against Idaho. That seems to be okay. I continue to think it's not really a USC love fest as it is a Pete Carroll suck fest. By and large, the media is convinced he's a god. Funny thing is...I wasn't sold on Ohio State last year and said so...This year, I'm not sold on Booty. Good...Yes....Great! Don't think I've seen this yet.:geauxtige :usaflagwa  LSU!
