Only one way to measure it - at the end of the season, let's see who's in the BCS games, who wins the bowl games, and who's where in the top 20. If memory serves me correctly, we (SEC) did pretty well last year, eh? Haven't taken the time to compare to PAC-10 or other conferences. New year, new fight. Bring it. :geauxtige
So the Pac 10 has two good teams. So the Pac 10's second best team beat Tenn. in a good football game, but Tenn is the 4-6 best SEC team and that is the difference and that is the point of Coach Miles' statement that every week in the SEC is a battle. LSU, FLA, Aub, UGA then there is Tenn, SC, Arky, UK, and BAMA that could all end the season in the top 25. The comment was idiotic. And I support Coach Miles' comment because it is the truth.
*Robidoux87 raises hand* I can explain this. A lot of you only hear what you want to hear. When someone praises LSU or the SEC, it barely registers. One positive comment regarding the Pac-10 gets you so angry and bent out of shape that your mindset becomes the ridiculous and paranoid, "The media is out to get southern (everything)."
As a person stuck out here in Pac 10 Land i will make a few comments. I do think the Pac 10 is better top to bottom this year as opposed to the past 7-8 years. And i think the SEC is still the better conference top to bottom. But because we dont have schools located in the large metropolitan areas for the most part we dont have the media representation that some of the other schools do. And to be honest some of the writer media that covers the Tigers are idiots. And dont have LSU interests in mind when they write their stupid article's. The quality of sportswriter covering LSU football is horrible. And for that matter some of the ESPN people have agenda's and comments like Les Miles made are justified but if LSU doesnt back them up on the field this year then they will be viewed as wrong and will be used against us. I think Les is right in what he said but the national media will use it as a negative just like that idiot Murfburger did.
Then I guess Auburn doesn't really have a problem, having been shut out of the championship game a few years ago.:yelwink2:
Cal looked good in beating Tenn. They were fast and ultimately the better team. Thats it,thats my Pac 10 praise for the season. All I care about are my TIGERS from LSU!!!!!LSU! LSU! LSU! LSU!
