Agreed, except I don't count SOS as being in the college ranks just yet, at least not until after the SECCG. But he does have to prove he's still got, which I think he will.
With a W over Arkansas/Mr. Nutt....... 11-9 or 12-10 over AU we lost 9-10....... 2 points away from controlling our own destiny
I also can understand that he is at a new SEC university, and doesnt want to give deference to the ability of Saban, Richt, Tubberville. Its a move to appease the USC crowd. Also look at Stoops' accomplishments at OU has been in the title game last 2 year as well as Carroll :angryfire .
Sorry, but no matter how you slice it, a team that's 8-2 is hardly "mediocre". Don't mean to put a label on you specifically, but anyone that thinks 8-2 with a possible 9-2 finish and a New Year's Day bowl is really spoiled by last season's National Championship. :geaux:
Just referring to the almighty media last year labeling the Rose Bowl as the title game... thats why i placed a :angryfire .
Yes, a win over Auburn would have both teams wih one loss right NOW. Lose to Arkansas and we have TWO losses. Head-to-head win over AU then wouldn't mean didley, because the team with the fewest conference losses represents its division in the SECCG, and AU would have only ONE loss. It's amazing to me how some of you are just ASSuming that LSU will beat Arkansas! Do you recall what happened two years ago? There are few bigger Tiger fans than me, but I still think we have to qualify such statements by saying that the Tigers are two points away from POSSIBLY playing for the conference championship. Or, LSU is two points and a win over Arky from playing for the championship. There is an adage that warns: Do not count your chickens before they are hatched!
You asked how is LSU 2 points away from playing for the SECC. The only way that the 2 point scenario would work would be assuming we beat Arkansas. I thought you could figure that much out yourself. Obviously you were looking to start an argument over "will we beat Arkansas". Where's SabanFan when you need him?
