Anybody see the no call on the last play?

That one call didn't cost us the game, even though Daniels was pushed in the back there was no way that reciever should've been so open. It was the safety's fault for not covering the reciever and LSU's fault for not playing better defense down the stretch.

Looked like more a push to the side. Judgement call. That's two games given up on a last play by this def. backfield.....shades of Ark.

I'm not disagreeing with that. However, just because we get caught in poor coverage doesn't mean that it's ok for the ref to completely blow an obvious, not to mention important, call.

I assure you, if you see the replay, it was more than a little tap from the side. Daniels missed the tackle because he was solidly pushed in the back. Still, congrat to Iowa. I just wish we could have a consistent offense that would keep the defense from having to determine the outcome of a game at the end. The defense played strong the whole game. I mean, this was the Big Ten Co-Champion. But our offense needs more juice and consistency. After today, I wanted to see a coach hired that could make our studs fly.

Who was the safety on the play. Landry was up front. It didn't look like Jesse Daniel's number on the replay. Was it Keron Gordon?

I haven't seen the play, but if it was a penalty, it was a penalty and should have been called. As for the announcer being an Iowa homer, I don't know about that. This game will probably go down as the best bowl game of the season, even if it was less than stellar for three quarters. The dude was just excited to call that play. I think that's all.

I am never one to harp on such things but I just mustered up the nerve to watch the fourth quarter of that game again.

The last play..... There were two blown calls. Watching in actual speed they are even more obvious.

The push in the back on Daniels clearly sends him quickly to the ground and he would have very likely made the tackle otherwise.

The other part of the play is where #87 for Iowa reaches around with BOTH HANDS, first the right hand grabbing the arm, then reaches around with his left arm as well to hold up Gordon. This had no effect on anything, but was a blatant hold nonetheless.

After the play, both Daniels and Gordon are looking around for flags.

Sigh... I wish I had not watched that again. It's freakin annoying to see.

Just for the record there were two uncalled penalties on the play. Holding and blocking in the back. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Bullsh!t.... We lost the game due to lack of execution, lack of focus, and bad game management. Iowa knew how to take advantage of all those things and did. No excuses about a BS bad call... The game should have never even been that close. Let's not be like so many other college football fans and blame the whole loss on bad officiating. Suck it up!
