1. I saw it, and I think he could've gotten called for it, but calling him a thug is a little strong. It wasn't good sportsmanship, but an isolated incident isn't something to get all upset about. If he did stuff like this frequently, that would be a problem, but you never know what that corner had said or done to him on the field. I'm not saying that it was the right thing to do, but to call him a thug when you have no idea what was really going on on the field is a bit strong. At least in my opinion. I think it was a young guy caught up in the emotion of a big game, and an embarrasment on national tv. And I think it was an obvious spur of the moment type thing. It didn't look planned out a la Joe Horn. Again, I'm not saying that it was a good thing to do, but I just don't see it as that bigga deal. Saban won't allow that type of behavior to become normal. The days of Cecil the Diesel type thuggishness are over in BR.
  2. well...

I watched the replay of the game last night. Bowe tweaked his ankle/foot at the end of the third quarter against UGA. He did come back to play on the final drive for the Tigers. Purely speculation, but I bet his foot/ankle is swollen and sore since the game and needs rest.

As for the tossing of the ball on his touchdown, I would say that was a "minor" incident.
  3. Honestly, had Gibson flipped the ball to one of our corners like that he would be lambasted to no end right here on this forum.

Anyway, it does sound like it's a sore ankle and he will be missed big time if he doesn't play...
  4. Dude chill......it was as spur of the moment thing.....and it does not make Bowe a THUG as you like too call him... :dis: :dis: I can't believe a fellow tigerforums poster would hate on one of our own players like that.....for such a silly reason... shame shame shame... :dis:
  5. I'm not "hating" on him, snoop dogg. I disapprove of what he did and it was uncalled for. He ACTED like a thug. Had a UGA kid done the same to one of our guys all of you would change your tune. I'm not losing sleep over this, but I am going to keep responding to posts directed at me and my comments.

  6. mah nizzle! Callin someone a "thug" is HATE!

...and if a UGA player did it....I would have cried foul...sayin there should have been a flag......but, my friend, I would not have called him a THUG for a such a silly thing!
  7. THERE IS NO WAY BOWE SHOULD BE OR WILL BE SUSPENDED FOR FLIPPING THE BALL TO A GEORGIA DEFENDER.
  8. Thanks Mike D - what a bold prediction...

The impact Coach Saban and his staff have had on the LSU Football Program runs much, much deeper than wins and losses. Coach Saban has coached and taught these young men about the importance of playing with PRIDE, DISCIPLINE, INTEGRITY and CHARACTER at all times, on every play and without exception. Bowe, although momentarily, behaved in a way that is not in line with the values Coach Saban has worked very long and hard to instill in the players. He shouldn’t have done it, it was a classless thing to do and that is no more than my opinion. Say whatever you like, it’s not that big a deal – however, the players reflect their coach and their school and it was disturbing to see an individual act in a manner that is so far removed from the way things are done these days at LSU. The team looked unprepared and disconnected in their play and Bowe looked disconnected in his behavior.

Either way, the kid caught his 5th TD and will only get better on his way to being a star at LSU.
  9. I agree.
  10. If C-Web's not healthy

If Webster's not healthy, he shouldn't be in the game, even as a deterrent. He got absolutley toasted by DG.
