Yeah that'd suck... since I got the Fluer Da Lei/ Tigereye tat'd on my right bicep... be a painful reminder of great games of the past.
I have an LSU tattoo as well, and even if we went 0-12, I'd still love my Tigers. I hate the whole "I'm only proud of my team if we win" thing. I played sports for many years and I have been part of teams that weren't setting the world on fire, but I still showed up at practice, still gave it 100%, still believed we could win, still loved my team, still had pride, still held my head up, still trusted my coaches--and all 100% of my teammates did the same thing. When I see fellow Tiger "fans" that don't have the same attitude, I'm not impressed.
You don't have to tell me brutha... the HS team I played on got 50 pointed first 3 games of my varsity season. And yeah i've lived all over as an LSU fan during the bad years but still always wore my LSU hats that my dad would get me from catalogs.
Heh... Dinardo was a gift after sitting in the stands watching Curly Hallman stink it up seemingly forever. :hihi:
salty, i agree with all of your post. (just didnt want to quote it all.) i wish i could have seen some more wins, but i had a blast on every trip anyway! a lot of people here say things like, i guess the trip home was long. well, yeah, but not for why they think. it wasnt a long trip cause we lost, it was long because i was exhausted from having so much fun! i proceed to tell people here what time we set up tailgating and they think we are (as you so VERY well put it) "crazy, half drunk, no sh*t taking, coonass talking, will party at the drop of a hat, Tiger fans". dey got dat right! point is, this isnt the end of the world. i sat through those losing seasons of "other" coaches. it can be a whole helluva lot worse. i am proud of my team, win or lose. i wear my colors here, even tho i get more chit from ou fans now. i miss louisiana and envy those that are closer to lsu. like those of you in shreveport. :hihi: we are..... FOREVER LSU!!! and remember. its only a couple of months till baseball!:tigbas:
God man, chill out. It is 4 losses; not 12. It is still a winning season, though not the one we expected or wanted. We will go to a bowl, though not the one we expected or wanted. The recruiting class for next year is looking great. We have had mediocre (mediocre, not disasterous) seasons before and we will have them again.
Winnfield - Look at it this way...you'll appreciate the next 10+ win season we have that much more this way. After all...if every day is a sunny day, then what's a sunny day? If it never rained, you'd never know the difference.
