    i watched the LA-Braves game, a little bit of the astros and now im flipping ack and forth between the champ game and the yankees.

    after the way these overpaid losers played for the usa team? Hell neaux! they should all be too ashamed to play right now.

    I forgot that Piazza had been traded to the Padres until I saw him hit...a home run. I kinda like not paying attention to the off-season trades. It makes for some surprises in the spring.

    That's how I felt about Frank Thomas. I didn't know he went to Oakland, but he homered in his first AB.

    Ummm, do you know anything about baseball? Yes it was a disappointment that we didn't do better, but we weren't playing slouches. Not only that, but our guys were also coming out ice cold. While the USA team was showing up after a several month vacation, most of the foreign players had spent their time playing winter ball. Being in mid-season form makes a huge difference.

    Actually, most of the South American countries and some Asian leagues are actually about a month and a half into their regular season by now. They actaully suspended their seasons for the classic.
