For student tickets, it does. It's based on a points system either way, but TAF points are used for non-student ticket holders. Students get points for every home game, plus two bonus sessions throught the year.
I have 5 season tickets through TAF and I asked for 6 and got 2. Everyone I have talked to got 2 also.
