As far as I know, the students don't fund the athletic department as much as the season ticket holders do. Correct me if I am wrong..... Elaborate. What is your classification? freshman? sophomore? junior? What if the list had more than 2500? Why should students be expected to make the trip solo? Why not give two tickets? What if they got a ticket and none of their friends did? I was one poor college student back in the day. The gas money and food money would have been a collective effort. You seem to be very spoiled..............

I am a LSU grad. Here is my question? How many student tickets in Tiger Stadium? I think 10000 is generous. So the students get 2500 of 17500. That is 14% of the total. If my 10000 is correct, the student section accounts for 10.8% of tickets in Tiger Stadium (10000 of 92300). Seems like a fair representation of student body based on the available tickets to LSU. We can get into the arguement that there should be more tickets available to students in Tiger Stadium. I was there for a couple of games this year and the student section was not full. For this arguement to continue, the student section has to be full no matter the opponent. Lastly, I loved my time as a student at LSU. I loved my time in the student section. I love what the student section does for the team at home games. That being said, the dept has to make $. The only way to do that is through ticket sales to be public. The folks that are paying for season tickets have to be rewarded w/tickets to bowl games.
I have no problem with the way they handle it. Away games count too. If you go to at least one away game and all the home games you are almost guarenteed tickets. The more games you go to, the more points you get. Reward the students who go to the most games. They are the die hard's.
