The tournament championship is won by the hottest team over a 3 day period on a neutral site. The regular season is won over a 2 month period and several games are played at hostile away sites. One is marathon the other is a sprint. I think John Brady positioned his team to make a run in the NCAAs by testing Tyrus Thomas and getting Lazarre, Roole, and Voogd extra minutes. The SEC Tournament just isn't that important in the grand scheme of things.
The NCAA tourney is set up the same way as the SEC tourney. Are you saying the NCAAT isn't important either?
What kind of question is that? The conference tourney is solely to make money and give the bubble teams and have-nots a last gasp effort at getting to the NCAAT. The Dance is for all the marbles.
Usc's title in 2003 was counterfeit not ours. Dude, who cares what the final score was? The important thing is that our guys get healthy, Florida is a more healthy team than ours right now. Its funny how that always enters the equation in any sport late in the season or during the playoffs. If you watch ESPN this time of the year, you would think the SEC doesn't exist in this country. Isn't the SEC second or third in the country this year? The point is, with the coverage from the media you would never know it.
You play 6 games in 18 days to win the NCAA tourney. You play 3 or 4 games in 4 days to win the SEC tourney. Yeah, they are set up the same way. Lay off the drugs, dude.
