    I said this ...
    because of this...
Without considering you were talking about a defensive play...
Mea Culpa ... should have paid more attention to the name Jacoby. I knew he was a DB ...
However, as little as they turned it over last year...you sure you want to bet with the kids lunch money? ;)

Not sure, but it is the first game of the year, so at least they have time to prepare. I get that it's still not the same as going against it in a game, but it's better than only having a week to get ready for it. Plus GSU is really good running it, so the more prep time, the better in my opinion. I still remember the year you guys were only giving up something like 60 ypg rushing and they gashed y'all for over 300, so we shouldn't sleep on them.

Oh, I agree! I do think there will be as much time focused on Texas as their is GSU; likely more on the 'Horns because of the games' impact.

Which would mean less time prepping for that option attack. I certainly don't see GSU winning. I don't see this either.

Anybody who bets Ramah's picks is going to be homeless by next season.

@Bengal B BTW, do you remember Saban's comment "they ran through us like shit through a tin horn?" That was against the 2011 Bama defense...playing against Georgia Southern. Granted, a lot of starters sat that game but still...little time to prep for triple option and it's so hard to simulate that offense in practice.

Was it the opener or a mid season game? The triple option is hard to prepare for. That's why Georgia Tech has had so much success with it and why Navy can sometimes hang with the big boys. The key is the DL and LB have to be very overpowering and quick enough and aware enough to have everybody who could end up as the ball carrier covered and not let the play develop. Easier said than done.

    November game.

You're right about how GT had as much success with that offense as they did. On the same note, it's the same reason Clemson's defense has had success defending GT: they've seen it every year. I want to say Bama's seen it twice in the last 12 years.

Georgia Southern hasn't run trip option in a couple years.

And they beat UF a couple years later.
Irrelevant because that's not what they run anymore. Completely different system, staff, players, everything.

I remember thinking we should install the triple option between the SECCG and the BCSNCG that year though.
