    Herbstreit is amazing.

In his final AP Vote, Herbie ranks Southern Cal (lost to two unranked teams) #2 over LSU and Ohio State. Then he ranks Auburn (who only lost to #1 and #3) #18 behind 3-loss Notre Dame, 3-loss Texas, and 4-loss Penn State.

    1 Florida
    2 Southern Cal
    3 LSU
    4 Ohio St.
    5 Boise St.
    6 Louisville
    7 Michigan
    8 Wisconsin
    9 Arkansas
    10 West Virginia
    11 Oklahoma
    12 California
    13 Rutgers
    14 Texas
    15 BYU
    16 Notre Dame
    17 Penn St.
    18 Auburn
    19 Wake Forest
    20 TCU
    21 Tennessee
    22 Oregon St.
    23 Boston College
    24 Georgia
    25 Virginia Tech

It's nice to see the 'SC measuring stick is still in play..Of all the teams in the SEC, LSU is the only one I can really root for--albeit when (if) they're playing USC. Thanks for the invite lsutiga, hopefully there will be discussion and not an entirety of dissing! :yelwink2:

Thanks for the support! I know from visiting the USC forum you're a classy poster and hope you're treated as well as I've been on the USC forum. :thumb:

Thanks. Even the 'SC board has its resident quacks, especially those who dislike fans of other teams, but all and all people like vball, trojanwarrior, and webmasterbob make it an interesting read.

I am sick of these media polls but...

Didn't Auburn lose to # 9 Ark and #24 GA? They beat the #1 and #3 teams.

Every fan base has them. One thing I've learned since visiting the USC forum is that there are a lot of great people in your fan base just like there are in ours. It's unfortunate that the BCS system set up a situation for there to be so much bitterness between the two progams. I have a lot of respect for the USC program and think the fact the two will most likely be #1 and #2 in the preseason polls speaks volumes about where each is.

The bitterness between any program shafted by the BCS, will only be cured when they finally make a playoff. I mean, take the basketball tournament, it is probably the most exciting thing in all of sports. You can also feel alright if you cheer for the team that survives the field of 65 and not feel guilty about it. I mean, I did cheer for Florida when they trounced that other team in L.A.
