    Now THIS is certainly the type of news that just might occupy SOME of our attention during this time.

    The AP seems to be trying to be "bigger than" the sport of college football once again. They want to annoint their paper champion how they see fit, with no outside restrictions.

    The polls have outlived there usefulness as a method of awarding championships. Good f'n riddance. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

    Are you high?????:confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: Are we talking about the same AP poll that had USC #1 after last season and losing the AP will lessen credibility???? :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: Now that a poll by a bunch of sports writers that don't even watch the games is not part of the formula the BCS actually gains a small degree of credibility.

    the NCAA needs to officially announce that the BCS is the ONLY poll that they will recognize, and that if networks want a contract with the leagues, they are only allowed to call the BCS champion "National Champion"... such things are in contracts everyday.
