    If he had beat SMU and Memphis, maybe, right now I am more inclined to believe Kirby Smart=Tom Herman. Look at his list of coaches.........anyone heard of even 2 of them??? Granted he is a good coach, but he had a very dynamic QB at Houston that is better than the one he will have at Texas next year. He has also been at the right place at the right time more than once.

    I'm not convinced he is the next Urban Meyer. And he will have a lot of non football alumni items to deal with in Austin. Mac Brown handled them well, Charlie didn't.

    Yea my big thing is if he wants to claim "distractions caused this" then what do you think is going to happen at any big name school especially LSU? LSU v gumps/ole piss/gaytors/rkansas/warchickens are all rivalry games and there are distractions here every year. Again it's hard to think losing to navy, smu, and memphis he deserves a huge payday or praise. We shall see

    Add in a top OC and the equation goes to ... Can't wait till next fb season! In the mean time, geaux get'em O on the recruiting trail.

    I think locking up Aranda is crucial in getting a quality OC. As an OC one would have to jump at the chance to use our talent considering you won't have to get in a track meet with CA on the other side. I mean our D is so good under him that we dropped 4 games by a little more tha 3 TD combined. Imagine an OC who can get 20-30 points per game out of our guys.
