Petrino only, mainly due to his offensive genius. He would have to get the right DC to make this work, however. We all know what a good offense and a poor defense gets you in the SEC. Just ask Florida during the Zook era.
May as well add to the rumor mill, per Buddy Songy on his radio show today, that Les Miles interviewed on Sunday. Note islstl and Jean, my source is Buddy Songy!
Skip: Great News! Bill Belichick has agreed to coach LSU next season. TigerForums member: Guys, I don't like this. He really didn't work out that well in Cleveland. Supposedly, his team really didn't like him. He's never coached college. He's gotten lucky in New England but you'll see that it is only because of Weis and Crennel. Anyone could have done what he did with New England. Skip: Jon Gruden will be the new coach at LSU. TigerForums member: I don't like it. His team just collapsed this year. If you really look at it he has just been in lucky situations in Tampa and Oakland. Question: Is there any candidate that a good bunch of y'all don't have alot of negative things about? Nationally, I think most college fans would be doing flips to get Butch Davis, Bobby Petrino, Tommy Tuberville, and some of these other guys that we are all criticizing. There sure doesn't seem to be a consensus candidate that we are all behind. I guess it doesn't really matter what we think as much as if the guy can recruit and coach LSU to wins.
