I seriously couldn't care less about what he did last year. We're a bit jaded with regard to opportunistic coaches 'round these parts.

 

Ya, Louisville is a pretty nice setting but its a BBall school. Football takes a back seat there much like it does at the Indiana's, North Carolina's, Kansas's, etc.

Then need to get their priorities straight.

 

Being sold on anyone is hard when you had the best. LSU is hiring another great coach. I just have no idea who that will be.

You say Auburn is second rate but you sure seem to like our ex-coaches, i.e., Fisher and Petrino who were nobodies until they got the Auburn experience with Tubs. Why does it hurt so bad to admit that. Better remember that famous Forrest Gump quote. I sure wouldn't admit that I lost to a second rate institution :grin:

 

Can Petrino recruit? He's winning with Smith's players right now. What kind of class did he recruit last year?

Petrino pulled this crap with a former associate(Tubby) and university officials last year. He knew, just as much as Auburn's officials how unethical it was. This year(Dec. 7) he tells N.D. "No thanks, I'm staying at Louisville." One week ago he signs a contract extension through '10. Today he wants to talk to LSU.
Actions speak louder than words. Remember what you're getting and that he'll
probably pull the same crap on LSU if hired. Two yrs as a HC in CUSA, 1 yr as OC at Auburn, 1 yr as OC at the Jacksonville Jags for the most part. And he's pulling this crap on employers and former associates.
I'll take anyone on the list but this guy.
