1. He did a good job of keeping Kentucky's best players in state. Other than that it would be hard to get top notch out of state players to come to Louisville to play in Conference USA. I'm not really that concerned about recruiting, LSU recruits in that all the best players in Louisiana want to come here no matter who the coach is. The offensive players will want to play under Petrino and the best defensive players want to come to LSU because its LSU. The recruiting will slip a little this year because of the transition, but we'll be back in the top 5 next year.
  2. You won't have to be ...

    With Petrino ...
  3. Why not Gruden?

Maybe I am in the dark, but why hasn't anyone mentioned Jon Gruden? IMO, he would be a great college coach. He fires me up just watching him on the sidelines! He just doesn't look happy in Tampa right now. Can you imagine Gruden as coach and just plain sticking it to Tuberville? Geaux Tigers!!
  4. Bottom line, Gruden is an NFL guy. Highly doubtful that he'd take a pay cut and come to LSU. And even if he did, the NFL would come calling every year just like now.
