1. Yes second best if that. He has amassed great talent then squandered opportunities several times including leads in SEC & NC games. He’s a very good coach but not a champion IMO. He certainly has time to prove me wrong but he needs to grow. I see him in the Charley Mac and Shug Jordan mold close but not there.

  2. Cholly Mac winning percentage 69.8% Kirby Smart winning percentage 79.2%. He had good 'ol boy Cholly in the rear view by getting to the Natuobal Championship & overall winning percentage.

Shug Jordan ( former Auburn Foosball coach) was 41-28 at Georgia in Basketball. He died 3 days before Bo Rein in 1980.

Keeping Cholly Mac 18 long years is on LSU. He killed any chance of catching Alabama in our lifetime.
  3. What didn't Shea do? He reported Arik had yet to enroll.
  4. The horse long left the barn on Rabs being a jackass
  5. Now hold on - you can’t blame Mac for the Bama gap . The Gumps were hiring dog crap in the 90’s Shula Dubose and Roll Tide !Price
What f ‘d us with Gumps is The Evil Dwarf dumped us and we brought in Happy in my Pants Elmer
  6. One Team One Podcast reporting that Gilbert wanted $400k to come back to LSU. Get the popcorn ready.
  7. Cholly Mac...18 years at LSU. 14 losses to Alabama. 9 consecutive losses at one point.

Miles list 7 including the unscheduled NC game vs Bama. Miles beat Alabama 5 times. No udder LSU Football coach ever achieved that. Good Time Cholly beat Alab as many 2 times in 18 years.

So... 2-14 ( Good Time Cholly) vs Bama & 5-7 (Dirty Les Miles) vs Bama.

To be even more clear, 14 of LSU''s losses against Bama are Cholly Mac's fault. 7 LSU losses against Bama are Miles fault.

Your conclusion is Cholly Mac should not be held responsible for his massive failure against Bama & that somehow, it's Miles' fault. Don't remember Good Time playing for any National Championships either. Don't remember Miles losing 9 consecutive times to Bama either.

The "Evil Dwarf " lost badly to Bama's Franny while coaching at LSU for goodness sake.
  8. He did, however, hit a 5 game losing streak. Let's look at the data.

    Longest losing streaks to Bama.
    Miles: 5 (NCG (2012) - 2015)
    Orgeron: 3 (2016-2018)
    DiNardo: 2 (twice, 1995-1996, 1998-1999)
    Saban: 1 (2002)
  9. Don't see Cholly McClendon's 9 year losing streak to Bama on your list. Might want to tighten up that "data".

BTW, Orgeron has lost to Bama 5 times as an SEC coach, 4 at LSU so far..
  10. This is the data set you chose. Miles hit 5 straight loses, Orgeron hit 3 (which reset after the 2019 victory and currently sits at one).

If you want to polish the turd known as Les Miles, you really need to pick a different data set to talk about. Yeah, he didn't hit a 9 game losing streak to Bama, but he's #2 with a five game losing streak. Not exactly something I'd parade around as some sort of victory.
