  1. I'm sure it exists. It was shown on the big screen when the teams came back out for the coin toss. As far as the spitting thing...the only place I heard that was from Jordy Hultburg...
  2. I'm gonna watch CST's coverage tonight to see if they show it. Anyone have a contact at Cox that might be able to get the footage from the sports dept.?
  3. I also heard Jordy's report and I said at the time (and I still believe) that there is no way in hell Stoops would be stupid enough to spit on the logo.
  4. Jordy said after the coin toss the players turned around and spit on the eye
  5. They didn't show anything in the Cox coverage last night, but Jordie did, again, iterate that he witnessed coaches and players spitting as well as jumping on the eye.

I'm still kind of skeptical about the spitting.

Isn't desecrating the midfield logo is a personal foul in the SEC? Where was our officiating crew from?
  6. I watched the team gather at midfield, but personally witnessed nobody spitting or even doing anything disrespectful. They were however jumping up and down, but I took it as a normal pre-game gathering.
  7. I bet they move about 10 yards away next time.
  8. I was in the stands, I saw some jumping, patting on each other's back, but no spitting. Maybe I missed it. It didn't seem to be a big issue. I remember saying to my little girl, that it was a bad choice of places to hold a team pep rally.

I didn't read that much into it.

it probably served to work agaisnt them more than anything.
  9. It's hard to see someone spitting from the stands. According the Hultburg (sp?), he was about 5 yards away and witnessed it. I'm not sure why he'd lie about it.

As for the penalty, it is a personal foul in the SEC, but since this was an inter-conference game, I'm not sure if the same rules apply.
  10. Midfield would be atop the painted Eye of the Tiger area, correct?

Well, some were doing the "bring it on" gesture to the crowd. But the spitting thing all seems to be coming from Jordy Hultberg. But Jordy was closest and being a radio reporter he has every reason to protect his credibility and not much reason to lie. I suspect Jordy saw some player spit but he happened to be on live radio when he described it so everybody heard it and it has become exaggerated.

    Possible urban myth.
