I could not believe this when I saw it. I guess the bookies think there will be a Bama game hangover.
Arkansas always plays LSU tough no matter how bad a team they are and LSU never plays worth a shit the week following the Bama game, win or lose. The Hogs have played some pretty decent football this year and they are overdue to finally win an SEC game. Lets just hope its not until the following week.
Their running game has worried me since the season began. This might be a rough game. Can't let the heart break against the gumps hang around.
Early in the season, I could see your point about their run game scaring you; however, we've actually been stopping the run pretty darn well in the past month. I think we have this. Yes, Arkansas is due an SEC win and yes they do look better than they did last year (and the year before that.) However, looking better doesn't mean shit if you never can actually pull off an SEC win. That being said, it sucks that this game is after the heartbreak last week. On the other hand, maybe a "want" to get over the heartbreak will actually fuel us more than we're usually fueled when we play them the last game of the season. The wintry weather concerns me more than anything else, though.
It is difficult to win on the road in the SEC West. But this LSU team has only lost to top-10 teams and they damn sure don't want to lose this one. Major bowls look at stuff like that.
The players can handle it. When they're on the field they have the adrenalin to stay warm and when they're on the bench they have heaters. I played in a high school playoff game in Monroe when there was freezing rain. It didn't bother me when I was on the field but we didn't have bench heaters and they wouldn't let us build a fire. Its the fans who will be freezing their butts off.
